EdgeSense: Pressed frame of the new HTC flagship confirmed

In the Google Play Store, a new app from HTC, which bears the name “Edge Sense” and contains references to the upcoming performance on 16 May. There will be HTC, a new smartphone, which is equipped with a pressure-sensitive frame.

Meanwhile, the app was taken back from the Play Store and is no longer accessible on the desktop, but on an Android smartphone, as already reported by Android Police . A download is not possible and also a description is missing. However, there are screen shots showing the functionality of the print-sensitive frame.

Notes on Dual SIM

In the lower half of the screen, the left and right are indicated with small curves that can be pressed to call certain functions. What is exactly possible, however, is not recognizable. However, the screenshots also provide further information: The Google Assistant recognizes the same as an SMS app with the possibility of sending via “Slot 1” or “Slot 2”, which indicates a variant with Dual SIM.

HTC now also with Snapdragon 835

According to previous rumors, the new smartphone is to be equipped with a Snapdragon 835 and to hear the name U11. In the current flagship U Ultra (hands-on), shown in January, HTC has still set aside for the LG Snapdragon 821, as LG also with the G6 (test). A few months later, Qualcomm’s high-end SoC is more widely available and is now increasingly used in high-class smartphones with the Xiaomi Mi6, the Sony Xperia XZ Premium (Hands-On) and the traded U11. On the 16th May at 8 clock of German time, HTC will introduce the new model.
