Motorola expands the Moto series by at least nine new smartphone models. In addition to the Moto Z2 (Play) and Moto X4, there will also be a Moto G5S (plus) and two new smartphones for the E and C series. The new flagship model Moto Z2 is to come with Snapdragon 835.
After the release of the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, Lenovo apparently still has numerous other Smartphones of the Moto series for this year in the work. As the planned line-up for 2017 looks, the Leaker Evan Blass shows via Twitter with a presentation slider of the manufacturer, which is presumably intended only for internal use. According to this, two new smartphones for the Z, G, E, and C series as well as a new device for the X series are available for this year. Moto Z and Moto Z Play: Again with module connection
The Moto Z series is, and remains, the premium series of Lenovo, which stands above all by the connection of the Moto Mods and according to the photo to offer “unlimited possibilities”. The new models are the Moto Z2 (Force) and Moto Z2 Play, both of which have a 5.5-inch full-HD display and support Gigabit LTE. First rumors show for the Moto Z2 the Snapdragon 835 as a drive. According to a former Rendervideo, the classical headphone jack for headphones should also return in the new edition.
The Moto Z2 Play is rumored to be the Snapdragon 626 with a slightly higher clock frequency than the Snapdragon 625 from the predecessor to be used. The memory is supposed to amount to 4 GB, the internal memory space to 64 GB. The front camera snaps selfies with 5-megapixel resolution and has a dual flash. The sensor of the main camera resolves with 16 megapixels, probably a dual-pixel focus as with the Moto G5 Plus and a lens with large f / 1.7 aperture on board. The battery is to be reduced from 3,510 mAh at the first Moto Z Play to 3,000 mAh.
Whether it is next to the Moto Z2 also the Z2 Force with the shatter-proof ShatterShield glass also comes to Germany, is not clear. According to Blass, this year the smartphone will be distributed not only by Verizon, but also by T-Mobile, which brings a release here in the range of possible.
Moto X4 makes Moto Z2 Play look old
Also for the Moto-X series is this year a new model with 5.2-inch display in full-HD resolution, 3D-glass and SmartCamera appear. The smart camera of the supposedly as Moto X4 emerging smartphone offers two lenses, has two different-color LEDs for the flash and a laser autofocus. What is exactly “smart” about it, is currently as unclear as the statement “AI Integration”, which is shown on a recently leaked presentation video as part of the smartphone.
According to previous information, the Moto X4 with the Snapdragon 660, 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of memory offers an upscale mid-range equipment and would, especially with the supposed 3.800 mAh strong battery, in terms of equipment still above the Moto Z2 Play. The smartphone does not offer a module connection. The housing of the new Moto X consists of a metal frame and a glass back and is protected against water and dust according to IP68 certification. The series was marked under the label “boundless perfection”.
Moto G5S and G5S Plus: The middle class will be pedestrians.
According to the Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus, according to Evan Blass, the Moto G5S and Moto G5S Plus will follow the slogan “Grenzenlos Premium” this year. These stand out from the two previous models of the Moto-G series by a dual camera setup on the back and offer a 5.2-inch or 5.5-inch full-HD display. The two new models also come with a metal housing and a fingerprint sensor below the display. Further details regarding the equipment are not yet known.
Four new smartphones for beginners
For smartphone beginners, Lenovo still has two smartphones of the Moto-E and Moto-C series in the luggage. The Moto E and Moto E Plus offer a 5- or 5.5-inch display with HD resolution, which is protected by protective glass in 2.5D optics. The Mediatek MT6737M works with 2 or 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB of memory. The Plus version also offers a very large battery with 5,000 mAh, which should ensure long running times. Other speeches of the smartphones listed under the slogan “Unlimited benefits” have already been released to the public last week.

The Moto C and Moto C Plus, which bear the slogan “Unlimited to the essentials”, are some of the features and probably the price. According to the film, both smartphones have a 5-inch display that resolves at 854 x 480 pixels at first and 1.080 x 720 pixels at the plus model. As a power supply, Lenovo packs a 4,000 mAh battery into the Moto C Plus.
When the smartphones of the large Lenovo lineup come onto the market, the photo does not reveal the presentation. Also, prices are not displayed.
