OnePlus 5 Release – With the launch of the first smartphone from the startup company OnePlus, the device was called the “flagship killer”. Not without reason, because equipment and price made the competition stand out. The upcoming OnePlus 5 and the start-up period have been officially confirmed.
OnePlus 5 is officially confirmed
The start-up company OnePlus has hitherto covered itself with information on the successor of the OnePlus 3 and OnePluis 3T. In a tweet, only a big surprise (Big Surprise) was called.
Compared to The Verge OnePlus has now at least confirmed the model name and also a period for a possible release. As previously suspected, the Chinese manufacturer skips a OnePlus 4 and will introduce a OnePlus 5 in the summer.
Website shows technical details
In China the “4” stands for misfortune, which is among other things the leap on a OnePlus 5 reasons. In addition, the “5” is also to honor the NBA professional Robert Horry, because his jersey is number “5”, OnePlus is tweeting. Apparently, the OnePlus 5 is not a “flagship killer”. A QHD display with bent edges, similar to the Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge, is said according to media reports probably no topic. The manufacturer will be more focused on meaningful improvements compared to the OnePlus 3T. Whether this still changes and with “Big Surprise” a real big surprise pending, remains to be seen.
However, it looks different on a dealer website. At the online dealer Oppomart an entry is listed, which shows not only a delivery date and the price, but also details about the equipment. Therefore, the OnePlus 5 is operated via a 5.5-inch QHD display (2,560 x 1,440 pixels). The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor at 2.45 gigahertz clock rate. A dual camera with 12-megapixel is on the back and for Selfie fans an 8-megapixel is available. Pre-installed is Oxygen OS, based on Android N. The delivery period is called June. Whether the data displayed on the website actually correspond to the final OnePlus 5, however, must continue to be viewed with skepticism.
