OnePlus 5 Dual Camera – After just a few days ago an online dealer from China had published alleged details of the OnePlus 5 including the price, a photo of the smartphone back has now been published directly from the OnePlus boss Carl Pei. It confirms a dual camera.
OnePlus 5: Photo leaked
In the summer the successor of the current OnePlus 3T is expected. The start-up company OnePlus is still covered in terms of equipment and hardware. So far “A big surprise” was announced and the model name OnePlus 5 was confirmed.
Carl Pei, chief of OnePlus, has published a photo about Instagram, which shows a still unknown smartphone. Two camera lenses can be seen on the picture. In contrast to previous leaks, the lenses are arranged horizontally. The Instagram story has now been deleted, as SmartDroid reports. An oversight or intentional marketing strategy?
Dealers list various details
Instagram showed more pictures. Among other things, three cameras on the alleged OnePlus 5 can be seen. This suggests that this might be a test device for the upcoming smartphone. Whether OnePlus in the OnePlus 5 plans different focal lengths, similar to the LG G6 or a monochrome sensor like in the Huawei P10, is pure speculation.
The startup company has confirmed a release of OnePlus 5 for summer. Some online retailers in China, such as Geekbuying or Oppomart, have already listed the OnePlus 5 with details. If the details mentioned in the data sheets actually apply, the OnePlus 5 is operated via a 5.5-inch QHD display (2.560 x 1.440 pixels). The smartphone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor with 2.45 gigahertz clock rate and 6 or 8 GB of RAM. While Oppomart lists a 12-megapixel dual camera and 8 Megapixel for Selfie fans, Geekbuying shows a 23 MP camera. Preinstalled is Oxygen OS, based on Android N. Geekbuying gives a price of 449 US dollars. Still, this information is to be enjoyed with caution.
