The French manufacturer Wiko has updated its entire product range at the MWC and presented a few interesting devices. The spearhead here form the WIM as well as the WIM Lite, which Wiko as its premium smartphones in the assortment.
The WIM comes with an aluminum unibody plastic body in the metal frame, which encloses an AMOLED display of 5.5 inches in size. This triggers in Full HD and should be able to display colors and details particularly well. The dual camera on the rear houses a Sony sensor and resolves with 13 megapixels. It is nice here that videos with 4K are possible and that the WIM RAW files can store.
The surprise is that the front camera shoots at 16 megapixels and makes the smartphone thus a self-made phone. LED flash included on the front. This is an interesting approach that is obviously aimed at the younger target group, which is also reflected by the relatively low prices at Wiko.
However, there is decent performance: a Snapdragon 626 octa-core processor works in conjunction with four gigabytes of RAM and pushes the data to 32 or 64 gigabytes of main memory.
A fingerprint sensor on the front bottom (hello iPhone, hello P10) is just as fast as Quickcharge, which makes the WIM according to Wiko in half an hour again fit for a whole day. Probably not for Poweruser, but for the normal use could come with the 3200 mAh large battery already.
The Wiko WIM comes in either black, white or gold and can be additionally protected thanks to the transparent cover WiView. The 2.5D Gorilla Glass 3 is a further thin plastic layer, with which the WIM still remains operable. The displayed notifications then look somewhat differently.
As a substructure, by the way, serves an Android 7.0, which largely avoids manufacturer-specific bloatware, so close to the stick Android feel, which I personally like very much. A launcher and “smart” operating features are included, but little unnecessary.

The availability and a price could not call Wiko yet and it was also on the MWC on the softwaresided unfinished demonstration versions. If the WIM appears, however, it will presumably coincide with the slightly lighter Lite variant, which will offer a smaller display and less processor power.
