VMware introduces integration with Dell EMC to speed up the transformation of the workforce

VMware offers integrations with Dell EMC to accelerate the transformation of the workforce

At the Dell EMC World, VMware  unveiled new technology integrations with Dell EMC -enhancing solutions for VMware End-User Computing to help customers realize the benefits of the transformation of the workplace through mobile technologies, desktop and cloud . By combining industry-leading solutions, organizations of all sizes and companies with various use cases can take advantage of converged infrastructures to optimize workloads integrated to the desktop and applications and use Unified Endpoint Management (UEM) to simplify management and reduce costs significantly.

The integration between VMware and Dell Client Command AirWatch will extend remote management capabilities for key features of the Dell hardware system to improve AirWatch Unifed Endpoint Management (UEM). In addition, the Dell EMC World, EMC announced VDI Dell Dell EMC powered by VMware Horizon, which will offer a complete solution for desktop virtualization and application infrastructure with optimized load, integrated software and Dell Wyse thin clients.

These integrated solutions show the benefits of Dell Technologies, a unique family of companies provides the essential infrastructure to enable organizations to build their own digital future, turn the computer and secure the information and the most important asset.

“VMware and Dell EMC, together, are offering great business benefits that can reduce costs and time-to-desktop, and have a real impact on the bottom line for organizations and also for IT professionals in the front line”, has said Shawn Bass, chief technology officer, End-User Computing VMware . “The integration of industry-leading solutions from both companies shows that we are better together and in a stronger position to help companies discouraged by having to manage multiple vendor contracts, service level agreements, management console solutions and anything that increases the total cost of ownership. ”

“Companies are looking for solutions that help companies to accelerate the transformation of the workforce, controlando at the same time, complexity and cost,” said Steve Lalla, senior vice president and general manager of Dell . Through collaboration with VMware, we are able to offer integrated solutions from the endpoint to the data center. ”

Migliorare VMware AirWatch Unified Endpoint Management

AirWatch VMware integrates with Dell Client Command – the management tools of Dell client systems – to extend the management capabilities to key features of the system. With this integration, IT administrators can query and retrieve critical system attributes, configure the settings of input / output system (basic BIOS) and take actions remediation by the AirWatch console used to manage all policies, applications and Windows endpoints in an organization. With the ability to query and report key system attributes, including information about service tags, the BIOS version and battery status, IT can proactively manage Dell devices directly with AirWatch, minimizing downtown to the user and ensuring business continuity.

This integration helps IT assess the BIOS security and to take action to improve the alignment with compliance requirements. You can configure the BIOS password remotely, enable use of Trusted Platform Module (TPM) and take actions remediation of noncompliant devices from a single management console, AirWatch. This is another example of how AirWatch has evolved from a solution of enterprise mobility management (EMM) to a solution EMU (Unified Endpoint Management).

Complete solutions VDI end-to-end, fast, and simple

Implement client virtualization solutions can be expensive, uncertain and can make it difficult to determine the true cost of acquisition. The VDI complete solutions to Dell EMC powered by VMware Horizon offer a complete solution for desktop virtualization and applications faster to deploy and simple to manage. The VDI Dell EMC solutions include the VxRail appliance family of fully integrated HCI appliance, pre-configured and pre-tested that offer unique appliance HCI powered by VMware VSAN and are made in conjunction with VMware. Customers can leverage a single solution ready to be implemented with all the components needed to deliver virtual desktops and applications in half of the steps and timing with respect to the distribution of the individual solutions.
