Tomorrow at the Washington State Convention Center in Seattle will host the Build 2017, Microsoft’s annual conference for developers. Usually the Redmond company takes this opportunity to present its innovations in software and this year could be a turning point for Microsoft. The star of the event will certainly be Windows 10 but also will host many other products.
With the debut of Windows 10 S it is likely to be announced new apps and tools that facilitate access to the Windows Store content. The operating system makes it possible for students to download apps only from the Microsoft store. All the focus will still be directed to Windows 10 Redstone 3, the latest update Universal OS which should debut in September. The voice assistant Cortana is to expand its horizons by opening the Internet of Things, and therefore should be revealed nothing new in that. At Build 2017 we could also see the latest developments for Azure and Office 365 platforms, representing Microsoft’s flagship services for some years now, and maybe even some new details regarding Bot. The Redmond company has not been particularly lucky with experiments related to software that imitate human behavior but things could be improved over time.
The Build 2017 may be the perfect occasion to present the latest products for the mixed reality. As for this technology, it is unlikely that Microsoft will show a new viewer and then will talk mainly of new features and services. Rumor has it that the company led by Satya Nadella has revised strategy linked to HoloLens going straight from the first to the third generation. There are however confirmed that it is finally unveiled the future of Windows Mobile 10. Nadella has nevertheless confirmed that the company is working on improving the software ecosystem for smartphones and tablets and above said that the idea to create a complete device has not been abandoned at all.
