Meizu restructured and allocated two separate brands

What we talked about since last year has come to pass. Yesterday Meizu company officially told about the restructuring conducted within the framework of optimization of the technological conglomerate. But if earlier predicted the division of the manufacturer into two separate brands, then in fact from now on there are three business units.

The Meizu brand, as before, will be engaged in the creation of smartphones of medium and top-level level, and Bai Yongxiang will remain at its helm, which will also oversee all the activities of the concern together with Jack Wong. Division Flyme will specialize in software products, and in the priorities – the improvement of the proprietary shell. Under the brand Blue Charm will be released exclusively budget mobile devices. As predicted, the head of Blue Charm was the former vice-president of the company Li Nan.

In addition, one of the sources in the Meizu supply chain clarified the company’s plans for this year in terms of the release of smartphones. In total we are waiting for 10 prime, including already released Meizu E2. The vast majority of smartphones as a hardware platform, predictably, will receive chips from MediaTek, in particular Helio P20 / P25. It remains a hope that Meizu MX7 or Pro 7 will still receive a processor from Qualcomm. True, the flagship, most likely, will still be built on the Helio X30.
